The Plan

Okay, so the plan sounds pretty simple.  We plan to work our way to a better, healthier, generally fit lifestyle by putting our all (you know, our muscles and sweat glands) into our housework.   Now, we are different stages in our parenting:

Jeff has two college aged kids who do very little housework anymore– they’re just not home.  She also has several teens and older elementary kids who are good workers, and one little one who still needs a lot of training and work to build her little work ethic.

Mutt is still training her younger kids to get the chores done… and with several very little kids that can take more time than if she just does it herself.  She has to balance doing it herself for physical benefit purposes, and training her children for their own benefit!

The deal is, sitting in the recliner and delegating does things to our figure, but um… yeah.  Not the kinds of things we’d like to see.   In addition, houses cleaned solely by children tend to look cleaned solely by children– this will benefit both house and body!   So, in addition to all the little things we both know we need to change (you know the typical weight loss things like diet and such) we’re going to focus the bulk of our exercise time in giving our house the attention we think it deserves.  After all, if we’re going to stretch, lunge, squat, step, walk, and work those arms, why do it improving the area that we live in?

Seems pretty simple, right?  We will see…
